As set out in the goals and objectives of the Downtown and West Broadway Redevelopment Plan, the City of Yorkton seeks to establish an Enterprise Zone for the purposes of providing development and property improvement incentives.  The City of Yorkton wishes to promote economic growth throughout the City and enhanced development opportunities within the designated Enterprise Zone.  The objective of the program is to revitalize and beautify the Enterprise Zone, by removing blight, expanding the tax base, and increasing the economic vitality of the Downtown and West Broadway Corridor.  

This program shall run for a period of five-years and will be made available to all new and existing businesses within the designated Enterprise Zone.
The program is divided into five incentive categories:

• Heritage Preservation
• Façade and Site Improvements
• Housing 
• Business Creation and Expansion
• Brownfield Remediation
