The City of Yorkton makes the following Public Notices:

Proposed Bylaw No. 33/2010

The Council of the City of Yorkton pursuant to Section 207 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007, hereby gives notice of its intention to pass Bylaw No. 33/2010 being a bylaw to amend the Municipal Development Plan designation of Block Y, Plan 101963842 (83 King Street) from “Institutional “ to “Residential”. This bylaw accommodates a proposed residential development on the subject property.

The proposed bylaw may be inspected at the Planning and Engineering Department in City Hall being 37 Third Street North, by any person without payment of any fees between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, all holidays excepted, and up until 12:00 noon Friday September 10, 2010.

Any person may make oral or written representation to City Council at its meeting to be held on Monday, September 13, 2010 in the City Hall Council Chambers, Yorkton, Saskatchewan at 5:00 pm.  All submissions must be submitted in writing by 12:00 noon Thursday, September 9, 2010 to Bonnie Schenher, City Clerk.  Oral or written submissions will be considered when the Public Hearing, in respect of these applications, is in session.

Proposed Bylaw No. 34/2010

The Council of the City of Yorkton pursuant to Section 207 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007, hereby gives notice of its intention to pass Bylaw No. 34/2010 being a bylaw to amend the Zoning Bylaw district of Block Y, Plan 101963842 (83 King Street) from Institutional District (IN) to Medium Density Residential District (R-3).

This bylaw accommodates a proposed residential development on the subject property.

Proposed Bylaw No. 35/2010

The Council of the City of Yorkton pursuant to Section 207 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007 hereby gives notice of its intention to pass Bylaw No. 35/2010, which is an amendment to City of Yorkton Zoning Bylaw No. 14/2003 to establish timing requirements for hard-surfacing of off-street parking areas. Specifically, the proposed Bylaw will allow for a 1 year period to complete hard-surfacing (paving, concrete) for larger developments, defined in the Zoning Bylaw as Major Site Plans, and for a 3 year period to complete hard-surfacing for smaller developments, defined in the Zoning Bylaw as Minor Site Plans.

The proposed zoning bylaw amendment may be inspected in the office of the Planning and Engineering Department, City Hall by any person without payment of any fees between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., all holidays excepted and up until 12:00 noon Friday September 10, 2010.

Proposed Bylaw No. 36/2010

The Council of the City of Yorkton, pursuant to Sections 8(1)(g) and 13 of The Cities Act, hereby gives notice of its intention to pass Bylaw No. 36/2010, which provides for the permanent closure of the following streets:

First: All of Suds Avenue and Standard Street shown on Registered Plan No. 80Y12960, Yorkton, Saskatchewan; and,

Secondly: All of Suds Avenue shown on Registered Plan No. CI5775, Yorkton, Saskatchewan

More specifically as shown in the shaded area on the map.
